PRESS: Sistema minorities file compensation suits vs Rosneft

MOSCOW, Dec 26 (PRIME) -- Minority shareholders of Russian multi-industry holding Sistema have filed several lawsuits against oil major Rosneft seeking compensation for a loss of the holding’s market value despite an amicable agreement between the sides, business daily Vedomosti reported Tuesday.

The Moscow Arbitration Court registered eight suits totaling 288,561 rubles filed by various individuals against Rosneft on December 18–20.

Rosneft and Sistema said on December 22 they reached an amicable agreement, under which Sistema is expected to pay 100 billion rubles to Bashneft by March 30, 2018.

Despite the deal, four of the eight claimants confirmed to Vedomosti that they will continue to assert their rights in court.

A representative of Sistema said the holding had no relation to the lawsuits.
